Archpriest Dionisy Pozdnyaev, who is in charge of the parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Hong Kong, visited the State Administration of Religious Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing on July 28th. During the meeting with the Chief of Division 4, Ms. Wang Yanmin, several issues pertaining to the Chinese Autonomous Orthodox were discussed. The parties also considered the question of sending students from the PRC for religious education in the Russian Orthodox Church’s theological schools and the question of the Russian Orthodox Church’s contacts with religious organizations of the PRC. Preparations for the consecration of the St. Innocent of Irkutsk Orthodox Church in E’erguna (Labdarin) in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region and also the temple-museum on the territory of the Russian Embassy in Beijing were also touched upon.
