Vice President of ROCOR Synodal Youth Department Lectures at St Tikhon’s University

On May 1st father Andrey Sommer, Senior Priest of the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York and Vice President of the Synodal Youth Department of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, met our students, and hold them a lesson about the role of St. Vladimir in the life of Russian Orthodox people abroad.
Students were given time to ask questions: most of them asked about the history and the traditions of Russian Orthodox parishes abroad, as well as about the All-Diaspora Russian Youth Conferences, whose organization is part of fr. Andrei’s work with young people. It was a pleasure to meet fr. Andrey Sommer again and have the chance of this warm and familiar meeting with such an old and good friend of our University.
