OCP Icon of St. Gregorious of Parumala Venerated in France:
France: Veneration of the OCP Icon of St Gregorious of Parumala continue to take place in France under the leadership of Metropolitan Mor Mairam Philipose – Primate of the Eglise Syro-Orthodoxe-Francophone Church (a small Oriental Orthodox Church based in Paris- France). On Sunday 25th October 2015, the icon was venerated at the Church of the Holy Trinity ( Syriac Orthodox French-speaking community of the Atlantic Coast).
The OCP Icon of St. Gregorious of Parumala (the first canonized Indian Saint) is a symbol of Pan-Orthodox Christian Unity. The icon was written by Eastern Byzantine Orthodox monks and the original is preserved at the OCP Chancellor’s residence in Chicago.
