Vatican: A new report suggests that the Roman Catholic Church continue to play double stand on child sexual abuse. A new Vatican document states that newly appointed Bishops are not bound to report accusations of clerical child abuse. Only victims or their families should make the decision to report abuse to the concerned authorities.
Monsignor Tony Anatrella prepared the guidelines for the Pontifical Council for the family. This was released as part of the training program for the newly appointed Bishops.
