Kairo 2011 CD Released

The Kairo 2011 CD which is part of the outreach programme was released by HG Dr.Yakoob Mar Irenaios at STOTS, Nagpur on 29th September 2011 after the Holy Qurbana. HG Dr. Youhanon mar Demetrios also graced the occasion. HG Dr.Yakoob Mar Irenaios, the president of OSSAE released the Kairo CD and Song Book and presented it to Ms. Grace Mariyam John, daughter of Rev.Fr.John Mathew, professor at STOTS.

On the occasion of the release Rev.Fr.Kurien Thomas, Director OVBS OKR acknowledged the valuable contributions of the STOTS, Family, and the outside kerala parishes towards the successful preparation of the CD. The Kairo 2011 CD Pack includes an audio CD containing 26 Melodious OVBS Songs and a DVD containing action songs and special classes. HG Dr.Yakoob Mar Irenaios before releasing the CD commended the whole hearted efforts of the STOTS family for the making of the CD.

Member of Legislative Assembly Visits STOTS

The MLA of Saoner constituency, Mr. Sunil Kedar and his team of officials visited St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur. A meeting with the seminary family was held at the seminary premises.

The meeting which started at 4:00 PM was presided over by Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Coorilose, the Working President of St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, and Nagpur. H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Asst.Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese of the Indian Orthodox Church also graced the occasion. Principal Fr. Dr. Bijesh Philip welcomed the guests.

Honourable MLA exhorted the seminary family to address the issue of illiteracy and to join hands to empower the marginalized women folk for the nation building. All the faculty members and students attended the meeting and discussed means to develop the constituency.
