OCP News Service – 8/8/21
Addis Ababa-Ethiopia: UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) has issued a statement regarding the safety of the Lalibela Rock-Hewn Orthodox Churches as fighting escalates between TPLF (Tigray People’s Liberation Front) and the Ethiopian Federal Army in the region. The statement (6/8/21) reads ” UNESCO calls for the respect of all relevant obligations under international law in ensuring the protection of the Outstanding Universal Value and legacy of this precious site by refraining from any act that may expose it to damage, and by taking all necessary precautions to prevent any attempts of looting and pillaging cultural properties located in the area.
One of the chief centres of Orthodox Christianity in Ethiopia, it was inducted into the UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1978

73095 663752I was wondering if you ever considered changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better? 863597
