Tree Planting Project at the Eurnekian Kindergarten of Arevadasht
On April 15, with the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, within the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a tree planting project was inaugurated for the Eurnekian Kindergarten of Arevadasht, as a symbol of the revival of the Armenian nation.
The event was held in partnership with the Christian Education Center of the Mother See (CEC) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), within the sphere of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 23, 2014.
Participating in the event were His Grace Bishop Vardan Navasardyan, Director of the CEC, Ms. Manja Henriette Ahrens, Representative of UNICEF, Mrs. Gayane Sayadyan, Head of the Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Regional Council of Armavir, clergymen, community leaders; the staff, teachers, pupils and parents from the kindergarten; and guests.
Children participating in the tree planting project received small gifts as a remembrance of the event.
