The Youth to look beyond the boundaries: His Holiness

NILAMBUR: “The youth should look beyond the boundaries and find viable solutions for communal extremism that haunts India at this time. Although political and religious ideologies do establish boundaries, we have to seek solutions without sacrificing our own unique values,” His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Didymos I urged the youth.

His Holiness was speaking this while inaugurating the OCYM 73rd annual conference at Pothukal Catholicate Higher Secondary School (Mar Pathrose Osthathios Nagar) in Nilambur on September 3, 2009.

“Panakkadu Thangal created a presence that resembles the brightness of full Moon. He was a man always looking the boundaries beyond and a good friend of mine”, remembering the Muslim league leader, the Catholicose added.

The youth should be endowed with a sense of direction and a deep awareness of basic values” said the chief guest E. Ahamed , the Indian Railway Associate Minister.

OCYM president Yuhanon Mar Policarpos presided over the inaugural meeting.

Koshy John, Diocesan Vdeeka Secretary and Tabore corporate school Manager Fr. K. A. Abraham spoke on the occasion.

OCYM General Secretary Fr. Spenser Koshy welcomed the gathering. The conference will end on September 5, tomorrow.

About 800 delegates from India and abroad are attending the conference, Fr.Spenser Koshy told Indian Orthodox Herald.
