The Student Center Began the Activities

Simultaneously with the launch of the new academic year 2011-2012, the Student Center of the Orthodox Church of Albania began its activities. Every day this center serves the students of Tirana, to whom it offers spiritual and social programs, preparation for baptism, a study hall with a rich library, a computer room, movies and many other spiritual and educational activities.

Activities begin on Tuesdays with spiritual talks, where clergy or theologians offer lectures on different topics in order for students to learn to live each day according to the commandments of the Creator. On the other days, various programs are offered: prayer services, arts and crafts, trainings and learning foreign languages. Also, the Facebook page of our center “Orthodox Students” has become a good opportunity to share spiritual messages and news.

Below is a summary of the weekly and periodic activities of the Centre.
Weekly Activities:

1. Every Tuesday, 17:00 pm – Training, handicrafts, different services etc.
2. Every Wednesday, 17:00 pm – English Language
3. Every Thursday, 17:00 pm – Various Lectures

Periodic Activities:
– On some Saturdays during the year, at 8:00 am there will be – Divine Liturgy, sports activities, handicrafts.

Annual Events:

– Workshops (work in groups) – Overnight programs to raise the capacity and to strengthen the community.

– Trainings on various social themes.

– Pilgrimages and Service – Learning about the culture and the history of our country and to offer services in the countries we visit.

– Student Meetings – Overnight programs with various activities.
