Turkey: A new book has published In Turkey titled  “THE PILLAR OF SYRIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH, SYRIAN JACOB OF SERUGH”

The book has been written  by the Head of Foundation Deacon Evangelio – Dr. İshak Tanoglu and by Sara Tanoglu.  The translation was done also by Sara Tanoglu, and she already has four previous publications to her credit. 

It is is the first and foremost comprehensive work about Saint Jacob’s writings in Turkish till date. There are 38 poems and prose on different subjects in 703 pages among which 40 pages are depicted with colorful images.

Appreciations for the publication were written by Maphiryano Abune Baseliose Thomas I (Catholicose of India and Metropolitan Trustee of the Syriac Orthodox Church in India) and also by Patriarchal Vicar of Adıyaman – Metropolitan Mor Gregorios Melki Ürek.

Apart from that, many people with religious and academic backgrounds have written prefaces. There are pictures of the places where Saint Jacob lived, the church of Diyarbakır, the Virgin Mary Church where his tomb is located,  churches constructed in the name legendary saint around the globe, portrait of him and of his hand writings.

When you finish reading  his poems, you feel that your heart is filled with loyalty and love for God, moving away from emotional thoughts.
