The Patriarch of Romania on a Canonical Visit to Cluj-Napoca

THE PRESS OFFICE OF THE ROMANIAN PATRIARCHATE, informs us:

From 5 – 7 December 2011, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will pay a canonical visit to Cluj-Napoca, at the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Andrei, on the occasion of the anniversary of 90 years since the setting up of the eparchy of Vad, Feleac and Cluj.

We mention some of the main moments of the visit:

Tuesday, 6 December 2011, on the feast of Saint Hierarch Nicholas, at 9.30 hours, the Patriarch of Romania will celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Cluj-Napoca, assisted by a group of hierarchs, priests and deacons. At 12.00 hours, the festivity occasioned by the inauguration of the museum of the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj, situated at the semi-basement of the Metropolitan Cathedral, will take place.

Wednesday, 7 December 2011, at 12.00 hours, in the Aula Magna of the University of Babes-Bolyai, the award ceremony of the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel by this Transylvanian University will be held.

The Patriarch of Romania will return to Bucharest on 7 December 2011, in the evening.
