The Patriarch of Romania blessed and inaugurated the new studios of Trinitas Radio and Television stations

On 9 June 2014, Feast of Holy Trinity, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, blessed and inaugurated the new studios of Trinitas Radio and Television in the precincts of “Patriarch Iustin” social-cultural centre.

“We wish you much aid of God, protection of the Most Holy Trinity and to work with joy, because, as said at the ordination, the preaching of the Apostles was focused on the Trinity of one essence and undivided. This is the joy of the Christian mission. A very important work was really done in a very short time, and we hope everything to be functional. We wish you good health, joy and much help of God”, the Patriarch of Romania said.

Trinitas Radio and Television are part of Basilica Press Centre set up on 27 October 2007, at the Feast of Saint Dimitrios the New, protector of Bucharest.

Trinitas Radio station was set up in 1996, at the initiative and with the blessing of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina at the time.

The consecration of Trinitas radio station as national radio network of the Romanian Orthodox Church was done on 27 October 2007, feast of Saint Pious Dimitrios the New, protector of Bucharest, the setting up date of Basilica Press Centre of the Romanian Patriarchate.

At present, Trinitas Radio transmits on 51 terrestrial waves covering over 65% of the Romanian territory, and on a via satellite wave for Europe: EUTELSAT W2 Satellite. The listeners can listen to the Divine Liturgy, Vesper, Evening and morning prayers, Midnight service, as well as to special programmes of religious education, Romanian folklore and classic music, programmes for promoting church events, news and useful information, dialogues and debates on the present social and cultural issues.

Trinitas TV is the television channel of the Romanian Patriarchate and it has been operating since October 2007, when it was set up as a result of the decision of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.

Trinitas TV is a religious, cultural and educational channel. It transmits 24 hours a day. Some of the most watched programmes are the live transmissions of the Divine Liturgy and of the Vesper from the Patriarchal Cathedral, the Trinitas Newsreel daily informative programme, the round tables on spiritual, cultural, social and philanthropic themes.

Trinitas TV can be watched on all important distribution networks: RCS&RDS analogical and digital TV cable, analogical and digital UPS network, DIGI, DOLCE, FOCUS SAT, ORANGE, FREESAT satellite digital platforms, through medium and small TV cable networks all over the country, as well as through many IPTV systems (INES, NEXTGEN, SEENOW etc.). Thus, Trinitas TV can reach over 95% of the television viewers of Romania.

The Television of the Romanian Patriarchate can be watched all over Europe by satellite: EUTELSAT 16A Satellite, wave: 12559 M|HZ, polarity: vertical, DR: 1667 Msym/S, FEC: ¾, shape: MPEG4 (DVB – S2), modulation: QPSK.
