The Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Monastery is in Crisis!
The first Greek Orthodox women’s monastery in America is in desperate need of your help! The health and well-being of 15 nuns is jeopardized by the sick building they are living in. After 23 years, faulty construction reveals mold, rotting wood, and moisture throughout the entire structure rendering the facility unlivable. Their home, the Church they worship in, the place they welcome pilgrims, has become hazardous.
The mold that permeates the building has infiltrated the HVAC system severely impacting the sisters’ health over the years. The entire system needs to be replaced along with the rotted wood throughout.
Since the start of this fund, I’ve learned that despite the sisters’ attempts to get the insurance to cover even a portion of these damages, none of it will b e covered!
