The Historic Spånga Church in Stockholm Attacked with Firebombs

Stockholm-Sweden: The historic 12th-century Spånga Evangelical Lutheran Church, located in suburbs of Stockholm was attacked by unidentified radical groups. Three firebombs were thrown at the Church on Wednesday night. They were thrown at the gate and windows of the Church. The Pastor of the Church Jerker Alsterlund commented that it was “A deliberate provocative act”.

The Spanga Church is located between the Tensta and Rinkeby, two of Stockholm’s most economically vulnerable areas. A majority of the residents are migrants as well. Many suspects that the attack was carried out by radical Islamists.
