The highest distinction of the Diocese of Zica for the Serbian Patriarch

On behalf of the clergy, monastics and the faithful of the Diocese of Zica, His Grace Bishop Justin of Zica handed over to His Holiness Irinej the Order of Venerable Simon the Monk at the Serbian Patriarchate on 19 September 2017.
His Grace Bishop Justin of Zica indicated in his exposition that His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, was honored “for his wise guidance of our Holy Church, for the diligent and persistent testimony of Resurrected Christ” in today’s conditions of life that have been burdened with both old and new difficulties and challenges.
His Holiness thanked Bishop Justin with words full of paternal love and care, noting that the award of the Diocese of Zica represents for him an exceptional honor, joy as well as responsibility too.
This solemn event was attended by members of the Holy Synod of Bishops: His Eminence Porfirije, Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana, and Their Graces Bishops: Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla and Milutin of Valjevo, as well as by the General Secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops protopresbyter-staurophor Savo B. Jovic, PhD, and head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch Deacon Aleksandar Prascevic, PhD.
