The Graduates of the National Defence College at the Patriarchal Palace
Romanian Church
On 4th April 2011, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel received the graduates of the National Defence College, series 2010 – 2011, on the occasion of the end of the college courses.
During the visit, the Patriarch of Romania congratulated the graduates and underlined the common role of the Church and Army.
“We wish you all the help of God in your every good deed, and certainly, a good co-operation between the Church and Army. We also have a common mission, to defend the spiritual and material values of the people, as well as to promote them, not only defend them, to emphasise them with no complexes of inferiority or superiority, only with a healthy radicalism. From this point of view our Church also tries to contribute both from an inter-Orthodox and from an inter-Christian point of view, and to show her dynamic identity”, said His Beatitude, as Trinitas Radio station informs us.
Commander Laurenţiu Anghelescu brought the group of graduates and expressed his desire to continue this tradition.
“We did want, Your Beatitude, to visit You saying from the bottom of our heart that we could enjoy Your Beatitude’s blessing at this college. We want this visit of the college to the Romanian Patriarchate to become tradition”, said commander Laurenţiu Anghelescu.
