‘The East Syrian Mission to China & Central Asia’ – Lecture by Fr. Dr. Baby Varghese at STOTS- Nagpur

Nagpur-India: Fr. Dr. Baby Varghese, an internationally renowned scholar in Syriac Liturgical Theology and Church Historian, was at STOTS, Nagpur for a couple of weeks. He took classes for students and interacted with the community.
His presentations on the topics – ‘The East Syrian Mission to China and Central Asia’ and ‘The development of monastic communities in the areas-of Tur-Abdin and other parts of Asia Minor’ were indeed inspiring and phenomenal.
The whole seminary community attended the lectures. Fr. Dr. B. Varghese is a Professor Emeritus at Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam and he has been visiting professor at various international colleges like the Institute of Sacred Music, Yale University, Union Theological Seminary, New York, etc.
