The Council of Bishops of the Serbian Church Begins at the Cathedral of Saint Sava

Belgrade-Serbia: The Holy Council of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church has begun with the Hierarch’ial Liturgy, presided by the Metropolitan Chrysostom of Dabro-Bosnia at the Cathedral of Saint Sava in Vracar, at 9 am Serbian time. The Council will elcet the new head of the Serbian Orthodox Church in due course of time.
The Electoral Assembly is being held at the crypt of the Memorial Church of Saint Sava according to the procedure determined by the Constitution of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the canons of the Holy Church. No media presence is planned for this event, and an official press release will be issued after the session.
