The book “On Prayer” is published in Chinese translation in Taiwan

Fu Yen University published the book “On Prayer” in Chinese by Archbishop Hilarion of Volokalamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations. The book is printed in traditional characters, commonly used today in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. The author of the translation is Kiril Chkarboul, a student at Fu Yen University.
Based on recordings of 1999 television interviews with Vladyka Hilarion, the book tells about the experience communion with God through prayer – a spiritual treasure of the Orthodox Church.
The lexicon used in the translation generally coincides with the standards used in [Roman] Catholic translations of Christian texts into Chinese. The publication is exhibited at the International Book Exhibition which opened in Hong Kong on July 23.
