The Annual Bulgarian Iconographic Exhibition Opened at the Bachkovo Monastery

Southern Bulgaria: The annual exhibition of the Bulgarian Iconographic Association was opened at the Bachkovo Monastery on the 3rd of August 2021. The exhibition was opened by Bishop Zion (Abbot of the Monastery) in the presence of the participating painters, pilgrims and guests of the monastery.

In his Opening Speech, Bishop spoke on the importance of the icons and icon painting in Orthodox Christianity. He stated that ” icons are the widest window to the sacrament of faith”.
