The All-Ukraine sacred procession with the relics of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica comes to an end

From 7 November to 9 December, on the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, a great Christian shrine visited Ukraine – the right hand of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.
The relics accompanied by a delegation of the Greek Orthodox Church led by Metropolitan Panteleimon of Beroia, Naussa and Campania.

On November 7 the honorable relics solemnly met in the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, then the shrine visited the dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

On 7-19 November, while staying in Kyiv, the relics of St. Demetrios visited the church of All Saints at the construction site of the Resurrection Cathedral of the Ukrainia Orthodox Church, Transfiguration Church in Teremky and separate regiment of the President of Ukraine and the church at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The further procession of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica’s right hand continued in the following cities:
19 – 21 November – Dnepropetrovsk
21 – 22 November – Poltava
22 – November 24 – Kharkov
24 – November 26 – Zaporizhzhya
26 – 28 November – Mykolayiv
28 – November 30 – Bila Tserkva
November 30 – December 1 – Ternopil
1 – 2 December – Lviv
2 – 3 December – Volodymyr-Volynskyy
3 – 4 December – Lutsk
4 – 5 December – Rivne
5 – 7 December – Zhytomyr

On December 7, the shrine visits the city of Berdichev, Zhytomyr region
On December 8 – Novograd-Volynskyy

On December 9 shrine returned to the place of its permanent residence – the Greek city of Thessaloniki.
