Syrian Immigrants Delegation Visits Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation of Syrian Immigrants from different countries, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma, Damascus.

The delegation was headed by Mr. Nabil Al-Malazi, President of the Initiative of the Declaration of Warsaw for the Syrian Immigrants.

The meeting was attended by His Grace Bishop Mor George Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director and Very Rev. Raban Barsom Kando.

His Holiness told the members of the delegation that the mission of every Syrian immigrant outside of Syria is to carry the pain and hope of the Syrian people. He discussed the current situation and the suffering of the Syrian people due to the crisis in Syria. He stressed the role of the Church in transmitting to the international community the true picture of what is happening in Syria.

His Holiness spoke about the importance of removing fear from the relations among the citizens of Syria and strengthening the common living in the society.
