The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church, Mahibere Kidusan and The Institute for Advanced Semitic Studies and Afroasiatic Studies are jointly hosting an informative symposium and dialogue focused on the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. The symposium will be at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs of Princeton University, Princeton NJ on July 31st for an informative symposium and dialogue focused on the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
The organizer of the symposium said that the contribution of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tawahido Church has not received an adequate attention and appreciation by the general public. The organizers expect that this symposium will help introduce the contributions of the church. At the symposium, the discussion will focus on the long history of the Ethiopia Orthodox Church, its vast literature and rich culture, its profound theology and traditions, its Biblical Judaic roots, and the role the Church plays in the life of its adherents in various parts of the world.
Participants of the symposiums are archbishops, religious leaders, scholars, laities and interested groups. The organizers have also invited anyone to the symposium but requested to register for free ahead of time by clicking HERE.
