With the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, His Grace Bishop Antonije of Moravica, vicar Bishop of the Patriarch, officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Holy Great Martyr George in the Cukarica district of Belgrade.
The Bishop was concelebrated by protoprosbyter-staurophors Caslav Marinkovic and BrankoMitrovic, protopresbyter Vitomir Kostic and some other clergimen. After the rite of the Great blessing of water in the church itself, Bishop Antonije held a sermon.
Thereupon a procession followed leading to the Ada Ciganlija (isle in the Sava river), where the jubilee 20thswimming for the Precious Cross was held. Among many swimmers from the Military Academy, the Gendarmerie, SVIBOR and citizens, Sava Stankovic (21), cadet from the Military Academy was the fastest to reach the Precious cross.
The ceremony was attended by Aleksandar Vulin, Minister of Defence of Serbia; Srdjan Kolaric, president of the Cukarica Municipality; Milan Stojic, Chairman of the Council of the Cukarica Municipality, as well as by other personalities.
