SPC restores Committee for Kosovo Office

The SPC said in a statement that the committee’s office will be headed by Bishop Jovan of Ljipljan, who was appointed secretary of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija.

The task of the office will be organization and documentation of work of the Committee for Kosovo-Metohija, as well as creation of archives and libraries on Kosovo and Metohija and events in the province in general.

The office of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija which was headed by current Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand, will be seated in the SPC Patriarchate of Peć.

The decision was made at a joint session of the Holy Synod of Bishops and the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija of the Holy Assembly of Bishops held in Belgrade mid-September.
