London: The Centre of World Christianity at the School of African and Oriental Studies in London (SOAS) will host an important conference various communities in Syria and Iraq on 23rd April 2016.

The Conference will explore the impact of the on-going crisis on the celebration of ritual among Christian, Mandaean and Yezidi communities in Syria and Iraq, and the afternoon event the previous day is dedicated to Mor Gregorios Yohanna Ibrahim.

This one-day international conference ‘Communities in Crisis: the aftermath of 2003 in Syria and Iraq for the Christian, Mandaean and Yezidi communities’ explores the challenges regarding the maintenance and celebration of ritual amongst the Christian, Mandaean and Yezidi communities in Syria and Iraq.
