DAMASCUS: The Second national conference for Environmental Issues held at Damascus. Hon. Minister for Waqf, His Excellency Dr. Muhammed Abdul Sattar inaugurated the conference. He stressed the need and importance of preserving the environment in context of global warming and other environmental issues.
Metropolitan of Patriarchal Office, His Eminence Mor Dionysius Youhanon Kawaq attended the conference and presented the views and plans of Syriac Orthodox Church in this issue. Ecologists, Theologians attended the conference representing the various sectors.
