Saint Nicholas In The Middle Of The Children – Cultural Artistic Manifestation At The Patriarchal Palace In The Presence Of The Patriarch Of Romania

The cultural – artistic programme entitled “Saint Nicholas in the Middle of the Children” took place in “Patriarch Teoctist” Aula Magna of the Patriarchal Palace. The programme was addressed to the pupils of Bucharest, forms I – VI, and organized by the Department for Education and Youth Activity of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, in cooperation with the parishes of deaneries I, II and III of Bucharest, with the Methodist Religion professors of Bucharest and with the support of the Basilica Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate. His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania was present at this important event.
During the show, children from six schools of all the districts of the capital city, as well as children from a school for pupils with hearing deficiency, performed short plays, recited poems and sang carols.
To end with, the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church delivered a sermon.
“We thank God for the great gifts that He gives us through the presence of the children and young people in the life of the Church. What we must remember is mostly the fact that both Saint Nicholas and Santa Claus reflect the merciful love of God-the-Father and that this love is a bestowing of the love of the Holy Trinity.
Saint Nicholas has become the most popular of the saints because he combined generosity with humbleness. There are many generous people, but not very humble. And this harmony between generosity and humbleness, between good deeds and a space of appreciation on behalf of the beneficiary is the pedagogy of Saint Nicholas”, said His Beatitude, as Trinitas Radio station informs us.
Further on, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel offered presents both to the children on the scene and to those in the audience.

Paul and the other apostles gave their lives for the cause of Christ. In fact, there are few more stirring witnesses of our great cause than we find in Paul’s letter to the Corinthian church:
I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:1–5). We have no greater cause than to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified and to go to the nations to testify of God’s life-saving and miracle-working power.Together we can help make that a reality !
Together we can stand in the gap and point precious souls to eternal salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.
