Russia to seek embassy level for diplomatic relations with Vatican
Moscow, December 4, Interfax – Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree concerning the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Vatican,” the Kremlin press service said.
According to the document, the Foreign Ministry is instructed to hold talks with the Vatican to establish the diplomatic relations at the level of Russia’s embassy to the Vatican and apostolic nuncio to the Russian Federation and seek embassy status for the Russian mission to the Vatican.
Medvedev ordered “to confirmed reached agreement with relevant documents.”
