Romanita Vocal Group from the Republic of Moldova at the Romanian Patriarchate
On 23 December 2013, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel was carolled by “Romanita” vocal group from the Republic of Moldova. Three carollers, students of the National College of Medicine and Pharmacy of Chisinau sang Romanian traditional carols.
To end with, His Beatitude spoke about the importance of the Romanian traditions: “We pray Jesus Christ, our Lord, to give you good health and salvation, peace and joy, and long happy life. May you be joy for your families and for those who form you to be good representatives of our folklore, and we congratulate you especially because you came from a long distance as very well prepared representatives, and because you were the merriest group of all the groups of carollers that have come here so far. Chisinau, Suceava, Maramures show the great richness of our traditions, because they are not quite identical. Although these regions are close one to another, there are both similarities and differences among them. You can be an example for other areas”, His Beatitude said.
