ROC HOLY SYNOD MEMBERS PRAY FOR THE LATE METROPOLITAN VLADIMIR OF KIEV AND ALL UKRAINE

On July 25, 2014, before the beginning of the Holy Synod session, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the Holy Synod members honoured in prayer the memory of His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine. The Primate and hierarchy of the Church prayed at the Chapel of All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Russian Land at the patriarchal and synodal residence in the St. Daniel Monastery in Moscow, in which they said a lity for the repose of the soul of the late Metropolitan Vladimir.

The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine, 79, passed away in the Lord on July 5, 2014.
