RESOLVE – “to decide firmly on a course of action”
“Take care of your spiritual life, your relationship with Jesus Christ, because this is the backbone of everything we do and everything we are.”
“Take care of your family life, giving your children and loved ones not just money, but most of all your time, attention and love.”
“Take care of your relationships with others, transforming your faith into life and your words into good works, especially on behalf of the poor.” This is a no-brainer for Christians. Jesus says in Matthew 25:40 that when you help the poor, you help him.
- Helping the poor may be as simple as visiting someone in the hospital or giving money to a homeless person on the street.
- It may mean joining the local Philoptochos / Christian organization that works to promote charitable, benevolent and philanthropic outreach to preserve the sanctity of life and family through Jesus Christ at your parish.
