Resignation of Archbishop Demetrios of America

USA- Archbishop Demetrios of America has resigned from the leadership of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOARCH). The resignation was submitted to the Ecumenical Patriarch in written format.
The resignation comes after 20 years of ministry. The matter of resignation will be discussed during the meeting of the Holy Synod of Ecumenical Patrirachate on 9th May 2019.
