Representatives of the Romanian Community of France at the Patriarchal Palace
On 27 June 2011, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, received a group of ten persons, representatives of the Romanian community of France. They were co-ordinated by Mr. Eugen Tomac, Director of the Department for the Romanians from Everywhere.
During the meeting, the issues the Romanians living abroad are faced with as well as a few projects were presented, as Mr. Eugen Tomac reported to Trinitas Radio station.
“The leaders present at the meeting presented the issues the Romanian parishes are faced with, as well as the need to continue the projects of the Romanian Orthodox Church through the Metropolitan See we have in Paris, because there is a compact traditional community in France, as well as a large number of Romanian citizens who left to France of late. The most important thing we are concerned with is to provide the Romanian Orthodox children the opportunity to learn the righteous faith in the parishes present in France at the moment. We are also interested in coming in wherever it is necessary to consolidate the activity of the present parishes as well as of the future ones that will be set up in France”.
