Report: Mass Killing of Orthodox Christians in Wollega, Oromia

Addis Ababa – Ethiopia: On March 6, 2021, on the night vigil service of the First Sunday of the Great Lent, twenty-eight Christians were gunned down and slain like sheep in Wollega, Oromia. The celebrant priest and others were killed inside the Church.

Report on Alleged Rape of Nuns by Eritrean Soldiers in Wukro Town – Tigray

Fr. ‘Kesis’ Mandefro, the administrator of the Church of Bale-Egziabeher were butchered together with four of his family members, while Ato Mersha Shumet, a faithful from the Church, was beheaded along with twelve of his family members. Many others including infants were murdered as well.

Wazema Radio reported that 29 people were killed in East Wollega; The latest atrocity is part of the ongoing ethnic, religious and political turmoil in Ethiopia since 2018.
