Rare Historic Photos of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia (From December 26, 1974, to December 26, 1984, he was rector of the Leningrad Seminary & Theological Academy) with Catholicoi Baselios Mathew I and Baselios Mathews II (Both where the heads of the Indian Orthodox Church and held the title of ‘Catholicos on the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas and Metropolitan of Malankara‘).
The pics were taken during the reception given to the Prelates of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church at the Leningrad Theological Academy ( presently known as Saint Petersburg Theological Academy), in the 1970s. Several eminent Indian Orthodox prelates have completed their theological education from reputed Russian Orthodox theological academies.
