With blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the Publishing Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has published the interpretive work entitled ““Interpretation of the Works of Apostles” by Father Gevorg Skevratsi, one of the great thinkers of the 13th century Cilician Armenia, a clergyman and politician.
This highly valuable work, published through the efforts of Ms. Hasmik Badalyan and edited by Mr. Gevorg Ter- Vardanyan, found its unique place in Armenian theological literature. While working on the interpretation, Father Gevorg Skevratsi used similar translational and Armenian texts by Hovhan Voskeberan, Yeprem Asori, Kyuregh Yerusaxematsi, Nerses the Graceful, Nerses Lambronatsi and Kirakos Areveltsi. The goal was to merge all the works by those authors and create a comprehensive and brief interpretation of the “Works of the Apostoles”.
The book was published by the sponsorship of the Sarkis Gabrielian Foundation, USA.
