Publication of 2011 Calendars

With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the Publishing Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin recently released the calendars for the year of 2011.
This year marks the 145th anniversary of the printed publication of the Official calendar of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The calendar includes all information for the ecclesiastical year. The official 2011 calendar was prepared by His Grace Bishop Michael Ajapahian, Primate of the Diocese of Shirak and by His Grace Bishop Artak Tigranian, Dean of the Monasteries of the Mother See. The calendar also contains information on the hierarchal sees and dioceses of the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church; on the members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin; and the administrative departments of the Mother See.
The Publishing Center also published the table calendar of 2011. Along with daily timetables, the calendar gives information on the feasts and commemoration days of the Saints.
This year, the Mother See has also released an illustrated calendar using images by National painter of the Republic of Armenia, Hrachia Rukhikyan. In 1960, with the blessing and support of His Holiness Vasken I of blessed memory, Mr. Rukhikyan created roughly 120 images of the Armenian historical churches; a selection of which now decorate the pages of the new calendar.
