Pope Tawadros II receives Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

Cairo: On Saturday , April 19, 2014 Pope Twadros II of Alexandria and All Africa received Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ( Egyptian military commander who was also the Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian armed forces and Minister of Defense from 12 August 2012 until 26 March 2014) at the Mark Cathedral situated at the Headquarters of the Coptic Papal residence in Abbasiya , Cairo.
Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated and conveyed greeting on the occasion of Pascha and Resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ.
This was also the first visit made by Marshall Abdel Fattah to the Cathedral. The meeting was also attended by the Rev. Angelos Isaac, secretary of the Pope and the Rev. Paul Halim Spokesperson of the Coptic Orthodox Church and also by several high ranking government officilas.
