Police Arrest Illegal Sellers of Ethiopian Orthodox Holy Scriptures

Addis Ababa: EOTC heritage, museum, and library department director “Meleake Selam” Fr Selemon Tolcha reported to Mahibere Kidusan, that Addis Ababa Police has arrested some persons who illegally tried to sell Ethiopian Orthodox ancient scripts (BIRANA/ብራና).

One was caught with 65 holy scriptures in the Addis Ababa Church street and another one was arrested from a gift shopping center nearby. Fr Selemon added that the Church awaits court decision to send back the books to their original parish churches from which they were stolen by the culprits.
