Pilgrims at the Romanian Patriarchate
On Monday, 8 October 2012, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, met a group of 30 persons headed by pastor Franz Schule, members of the “Swiss Inter-church Aid”. The event took place in Europa Christiana hall of the Patriarchate Palace, at 11.00 o’clock.
His Beatitude thanked them for the help granted in the course of time.
“We never forget that the new modern publishing house of Iaşi was made with the help of this organisation of Christian inter-aid named Swiss Inter-church Aid. Having been supporters of this organisation of inter-Christian aid, you have contributed a lot aiding some other Orthodox eparchies of Romania too. At the same time, your organisation granted several scholarships to the Romanian students who studied in the West, especially in Switzerland. We are very grateful for all this and may God reward you and give you good health and much joy because you have caused joy to other people too!”, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel said, as Trinitas Radio station informs us.
The group of pilgrims was headed by pastor Franz Schule who thanked His Beatitude for reception and emphasised the good relations between the Romanian Orthodox Church, the Reformed Churches and the Roman Catholic Church.
“Today there is a very good understanding and relationship between the Reformed Churches and the Romanian Orthodox Church. One of the purposes of our visit to the Romanian Orthodox Church was to see the present good relations between the Reformed, Lutheran, Orthodox and Catholic Churches”, pastor Franz Schule said.
These days the group pastor Franz Schule headed made a pilgrimage to several places of worship of our country, so that this morning they visited the Patriarchal Cathedral and the Patriarchate Palace.
