Patron Saint’s Day of Monastery of Mileshevo

At the monastery of Mileshevo this year there was a formal celebration of the founder’s Patron Saint’s Day – Holy King Vladislav. On this occasion on Tuesday, October 6 there was a feast vesper service and fervent prayer for the martyrs of Kosovo, after which there was a cultural and art program. Today at 9 His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral led the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with a concelebration of Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabrobosna, bishops: Sava of Slavonia, Pahomije of Vranje, retired Nikolaj of Aljaska, Joanikije of Budimlje and Niksic and the host bishop Filaret of Mileshevo and many priests, monks and deacons, in a presence of lots of faithful people.

During the liturgy teologist Vladislav Pajic was ordained a deacon.

Radio Milesheva also celebrated today it’s Patron Saint’s Day, which started to work on December 27, 2008. The manager of the Radio Marko Papic, D. Theol, spoke about the radio and its goals. Representatives of church radios also gave the support to the Radio Milesheva: Slovoljubve from Belgrade, Svetigora from Cetinje and Slavoslovlje from Subotica, who were present at the Patron Saint’s Day. After the Holy Liturgy Metropolitan Amfilohije brought back to Monastery of Mileshevo the great valuable of this sanctuary – tabernacle of protoheugumene Longin of Mileshevo, built in 1684 and which was kept inside the Cathedral church in Belgrade. After the service followed the cultural and art program and the table of love.
