Patron Saint-day of the Monastery of Cetinje

The feast day of the Saint Luke the Apostle and the Evangelist and Saint Peter of Cetinje was celebrated in the Cetinje Monastery with the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy. His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral officiated the Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina
Lots of priests concelebrated to Bishops, while the faithful from all areas of Montenegro, Serbia and Republic of Srpska prayerfully participated in the Liturgy. The liturgical gathering was held on the occasion of two jubilees: 150th anniversary of the Cetinje Seminary and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Peter II Petrovic Njegos.
The service was held in the attendance of Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Zoran Bingulac and Ambassador of the Republic of Ukraine Mrs. Oksana Slysarenko. On this occasion the Church dinstinctions were presented to Mr. Jovan Markus, Mr. Predrag Vukic and Mrs. Novka Zivkovic from Podgorica.
The Liturgy was attended also by two priests of the Albanian Orthodox Church, Aleksandar and Nikola Petani from Shkoder, and representatives of the House of Petrovic – Djoko and Ivan Petrovic.
Members of the Brotherhood of the guardians of the coffin of the Saint Peter of Cetinje ran the marathon from Podgorica to Cetinje in honor of this Wonderworker of Cetinje.
