Patriarchs of Antioch Discuss Situation in Syria and the Support for the Poor

Damascus-Syria: His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II of Antioch and All East received His Beatitude Patriarch John X – Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, at the Headquarters of the Syriac Patriarchate in Damascus on the 15th of February, 2021.

During the meeting, the Primates discussed ecclesiastical matters pertaining to the spiritual and social life of Orthodox Christians in the region. They also reflected on the present situation in Syria and also spoke on various methods to support the poor and needy during the on-going pandemic and the civil conflict.

Mor Maurice Amsi – Archbishop of Jazeerah and Euphrates, and Raban Joseph Bali – Patriarchal Secretary and the Director of the Media Office were present for the occasion.
