Patriarch Porfirije Presented With Water Polo Cap by the National Team of Serbia

Belgrade-Serbia: The National Water Polo team of Serbia visited Patriarch Porfirije on the 12th of July 2021, and received his blessings to participate in the upcoming Olympic games. During the visit, Patriarch Porfirije was presented with a plaque and water polo cap with number two by Mr. Viktor Jelenic ( President of the Water Polo Federation) and by Mr. Filip Filipovic (Captian of the national team) respectively. The Patriarch stated that achieving success does not depend only on how good they are, but also on who is on the other side, The opposition side are not enemies but they also participate in games with the spirit of competition.

The Patriarch further wished them good luck by stating that “I wish you success at the Olympic Games – I wish you to be the best, to be better than yourself, and for God to give the result in accordance with that desire. If you do your best, if as a team you are like one organism, it is certain that the result will be true and true satisfaction no matter what it was. May it be with luck and may God welcome you with a medal”.

Mr. Vanja Udovicic, the Minister of Youth and Sports was also present for the occasion.
