Patriarch Kirill will lead people in thanksgiving at Kiev Laura of the Caves on Ukrainian President’s Inauguration Day

On the invitation of the Ukrainian President-elect Viktor Yanukovich, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will lead people in a thanksgiving to be held on 25 February 2010 at the Kiev Laura of the Caves before the inauguration. His Holiness will officiate together with the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine.
After the thanksgiving and His Holiness’s words of greeting, Victor Yanukovich will leave for the Supreme Rada to take the presidential oath on the historic Peresopnitsa Gospel.
