Patriarch Kirill congratulates Metropolitan Onufry on his election as Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine
On August 13, 2014, the Bishops’ Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church elected Metropolitan Onufry of Chernovtsy and Bukovina, Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan See of Kiev, as Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has congratulated Metropolitan Onufry on his election to the Throne of Metropolitans of Kiev and All Ukraine.
His Holiness has approved the decision of the Bishops’ Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and given his blessing upon Metropolitan Onufry’s accession to the office of Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
