Patriarch Irinej: When We are close to God, then We are Children of God, and then We are Most Close to Each Other

His Holiness Irinej, the Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Saint Athanasius the Great in the suburb of Zemun, Plavi Horizonti, on 6 September 2020.
The Patriarch was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophor Bozo Bakajlic, Diocesan dean of Zemun-New Belgrade; presbyter AndjelkoDoder, principal of the church; archdeacon Stevan Rapajic and deacon Radomir Vrucinic, a teacher at the Theological Seminary of Saint Sava in Belgrade.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, with the blessing of Patriarch Irinej, a rite of invocation of the Holy Spirit was served on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year. Thereafter the Patriarch delivered a sermon on gratitude and divine grace.
Prince Filip Karadjordjevic and Princess Danica prayerfully attended the event.
