Patriarch IRINEJ serves in the church of St. Marco

His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch on the feast day of Saint Despot Stephen Lazarevic and his mother Saint Eugenia served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Saint Marco in Belgrade with the concelebration of priests and deacons of this holy temple.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy His Holiness cut the slava cake and congratulated the Patron Saint’s Day of the choir of the church of St. Marco. Patriarch IRINEJ pointed out the significance of Despot Stephen for the Serbian people, especially saying about relations of Despot and his father Saint Prince Lazar. Before the luncheon of love, prepared by the members of the choir and the brotherhood of the church, His Holiness consecrated the premises which were brought back to the church of St. Marco after 60 years.
