Beirut: Patriarch Ignatius Hazim’s funeral will be held Sunday at 12 p.m at Mariameh Cathedral and Patriarchate Cemetery, Damascus. The new acting Patriarch will be nominated on Thursday.

I really never knew Patriarch Ignatius Hazim IV, but I do know that Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina has been selected as pope. I’m just an anonymous United Methodist gentleman, but I have a Catholic friend, and his name is Gino Caschera.
